Yulianna Kirillova

Hello! My name is Yulianna and I was born in Russia in a small town on the Baltic Sea. At the age of 19 i took up photography and for 15 years i have been achieving success in it. Though I have always felt that i really wanted to become an artist. I was drawing a lot as kid and i have been into it seriously for the last 10 years. I had spent lots of time in front of video tutorials before I started achieving results, but then I felt that this was my calling. I have tried different materials : watercolor, oil, acrylic and even alcohol ink. I have worked in different techniques, but really found myself in realism 5 years ago, working with oils or watercolors. I love realism with its magic. Seeing how the drawing gradually comes to life with your every move is exciting!

While living in Russia, I opened an art space in my hometown, so that people of creative professions could do art, communicate and share experiences. We held exhibitions and master classes and managed an annual art festival for our city. A year ago, my family and I moved to the wonderful island of Bali in Indonesia. This place really inspired me, I was able to completely devote myself to my work as an artist. Here I rediscovered realism with colored pencils in botanical and animalistic illustrations. I usually spend 15-20 hours on my painting, but this time brings me only happiness and the feeling that I have found my calling. I like challenging and developing myself in all spheres. I find my inspiration in the surrounding nature, ocean sunrises and the love of my family. My goal is to develop my talent, to show my art to people and improve myself.
